An August 18th ServeyUSA Poll gave West Virginia Democratic Senator, Robert C. Byrd a 65% approval rating. His disapproval was only a mere 29%. Over a month ago, his approval / disapproval was 62% / 33% respectively. It seems that the Republican Senatorial Committee attack ads aimed against him have actually improve his standings among West Virginians. Although no major Republican has announced a run against Byrd, WV State Representative shell Moore Capito is the parties favorite. The ad was obviously a test to see if they could hurt Byrd's number and actually give Capito Moore a shot. Shelley Capito Moore is the daughter of WV governor Arch Moore Jr. was in a convicted federal fellonies and incarcerated in federal prison.
